San Francisco

San Francisco’s major attractions include Fisherman’s Wharf, with delicious bars and restaurants. From here you can take the ferry over to the prison island of Alcatraz, overlooking the world’s most famous suspension bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge. Opera, Broadway shows, ballet, cabaret, “supper clubs” with dance, museums, art galleries, sporting events, shopping – everything is in abundance.
Yosemite
Yosemite National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the United States. Located in downtown Sierra Nevada, California, a few hours’ drive from San Francisco, the park is known for its magnificent views with impressive waterfalls, cool mountains and great hiking opportunities. The national park is known for its beautiful cliffs and mountains, not least those in the Yosemite Valley. This valley is surrounded by Half Dome, El Capitan and other up to 1000 meters high and almost vertical granite cliff walls.
Napa Valley
Napavalley is located in Napa county north of San Francisco and is also called “North Bay”. A trip to the Napa Valley usually means sun, beautiful nature, good food and of course lots of good wine and vineyards. Napa Valley is a world-renowned wine district where wines have been made since at least 1858 and is an excellent choice for an exciting gourmet trip through the beautiful California landscapes and American culture.
Highway 1
Burgers, gasoline and wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean. Highway one between San Francisco and Los Angeles is one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Driving in the US can sometimes be a bit boring if you do not love endless highways, lined with anonymous motels and chain restaurants. Highway 1, on the other hand, is the opposite. Traveling here is a journey back to the childhood of motoring. Most of the stretch is still a single-lane country road and it is easy to stop and make quick stops if something “Kodak Moment” should appear around the bend.
